First Login & Account Setup

Congratulations on setting up EdgeRun.Ai! This guide walks you through your first login and essential account configuration.

Accessing Your Portals

EdgeRun.Ai provides two web portals depending on your role:

🔍 SOC Hunter Portal

The main investigation workspace for security analysts. Create investigations, detect IOCs, and leverage AI-powered research.

👔 SOC Manager Portal

Team management dashboard for supervisors. Monitor metrics, manage users, and track team performance.

Your First Login

Navigate to Your Portal

Open your browser and go to your Hunter Portal URL (replace with your actual FQDN):

Enter Your Credentials

Use the email and temporary password provided by the EdgeRun.Ai team via Discord DM.

Change Your Password

Immediately change your temporary password to a strong, unique password. Go to your account settings to do this.

Explore the Dashboard

Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the interface. The dashboard shows your recent investigations and key metrics.

Changing Your Password

It's critical to change your temporary password immediately. Here's how:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Account Settings" or "Profile"
  3. Find the "Change Password" section
  4. Enter your current (temporary) password
  5. Enter your new password twice to confirm
  6. Click "Save" or "Update Password"
🔐 Password Requirements: Use a strong password with at least 12 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. Consider using a password manager.

Configure the Chrome Extension

If you haven't already, log in to the Chrome extension to connect it to your server:

  1. Click the EdgeRun.Ai extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
  2. Click "Settings" or the gear icon
  3. Enter your Server FQDN: https://yourorg.api.edgerun.ai
  4. Enter your email and new password
  5. Click "Connect" or "Login"

Once connected, the extension will sync with your server and you can start capturing data from any webpage.

Understanding the Interface

Hunter Portal Overview

Dashboard Overview of recent activity, investigations, and quick stats
Investigations Create, view, and manage your security investigations
Selectors Search and analyze IOCs (IPs, domains, hashes, etc.)
Timeline View chronological history of investigation activities
AI Research Access AI-powered analysis and research tools
Settings Account settings, API keys, and preferences

Adding Team Members

If you're an administrator, you can add more users to your EdgeRun.Ai instance:

  1. Access the Manager Portal (https://yourorg.jan.edgerun.ai)
  2. Navigate to "Users" or "Team Management"
  3. Click "Add User"
  4. Enter their email and assign a role
  5. They'll receive credentials via the method you specify
